 Carrigtwohill Flower & Garden Club is delighted to host a wellness presentation by Ashlinn Cambridge (health coach & nutritionist) on improving our health and well-being through what we grow in and enjoy in our gardens. The event takes place on Tuesday, February 3, at 8pm in Carrigtwohill Community Centre. All welcome. Admission €5.

Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, February 4, at 8pm in The Temperance Hall, Strand Street, Kanturk. The guest speaker is Annie O’Grady, The Style Nanny, who will explore a style to fit you. Entry €5.

Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold its next meeting on Monday, February 9, in Cobh (Great Island) Community Centre at 7.30pm. Bridie and Charlie Terry will give a talk on bees entitled “Hive to Table”. Visitors welcome. Admission €5.

Youghal Flower and Garden Club will mark its 45th anniversary with an event on Wednesday, February 11, at 6.30pm in the Walter Raleigh Hotel. More details to follow.

Macroom Flower & Garden Club holds its AGM on Thursday, February 12, at 7pm at Coolcower House, followed by a talk and presentation by Majella O’Riordan, registered herbalist, at 8pm. Members only.

Carlow prepares to step into the spotlight as Ireland’s snowdrop capital with a month-long celebration of nature’s first bloom. Snowdrop Month at Altamont Gardens runs from February 1 to 28. Guided tours are available daily throughout February, with group tours available by appointment. The gardens are open for general viewing daily, with free admission and free guided tours. Booking is at Altamontplants.com.

Owenabue Garden and Flower Club, Carrigaline, marks its 50th anniversary with a celebratory, five-course lunch, featuring a floral demonstration by Lorraine O’Brien, AOIFA. It takes place on Saturday, February 28, in the Carrigaline Court Hotel from 10.30am. Tickets, €50, are limited. Non-members welcome. Email [e-mail].

Tralee Flower and Garden Club will hold an event on March 10, at 7.30pm in the Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee. It will include a garden talk. New members and visitors welcome, €10.
