Ballincollig Garden and Flower Club will host an Open Garden and Coffee Morning on Saturday, May 25, from 10am to 1pm supporting Marymount Hospice. It takes place at Margaret Ahern’s Garden in Aherla, P31 RP44. Entry is €10 and the event includes a raffle and plant sale. 

The Lough Flower and Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, May 28. There will be an interesting and varied demonstration by club members entitled Summertime. Venue: The SMA Parish Hall. (Opposite CUH). Time 7.30pm. Visitors are very welcome. Admission €10. Refreshments provided. 

The Glenville Flower & Garden Club will meet in the Holy Family Centre on Tuesday, May 28, at 8pm, with a garden night by Larry Lyons of Hillside Garden Centre, Glounthaune. He will also have a large display of shrubs and bedding plants.

The Owenabue Garden and Flower Club in Carrigaline is inviting people to join their annual outing to Co Waterford on May 27, visiting Mount Congreve Gardens and Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens plus Maguires Garden Centre. Lunch and dinner are included in the trip which costs €97. The coach leaves Carrigaline at 8am and returns at 9.30pm. Contact 086-1742702 or 087-6976552. 

The Cork Summer Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16. Entries are now open for floral art, horticulture, vegetables, farm produce, arts and craft classes plus lots more. There are lots of new classes for 2024. For more details go to www.corksummershow.ie
