GAA weighing up possibility of increasing ticket prices for 2027 season

It is two years since the GAA announced they would be bumping up stand admission to the All-Ireland senior football and hurling finals to €100 from €90, while terrace tickets rose by €5 to €55.

The GAA is weighing up the possibility of increasing ticket prices for the 2027 season.

No decision has been made as of yet but discussions have taken place about rising admissions to some games next season.

It is two years since the GAA announced it would be bumping up stand admission to the All-Ireland senior football and hurling finals to €100 from €90, while terrace tickets rose by €5 to €55. They were the first All-Ireland final ticket increases in five seasons. 

Ticket prices for quarter-finals and semi-finals also went up by €5.

National League tickets have remained the same since 2024 – €20 for Division 1 and 2 football games and Division 1A and 1B hurling fixtures, €12 for Division 3 and 4 football matches and €10 for Division 2, 3 and 4 hurling. In 2023, it was €18 for adult entry to higher division matches, having previously been €15.

Last year, the Munster Council increased the stand ticket price for their senior hurling final to €50. An additional €5 was put on stand, terrace and juvenile tickets. 

It was the second rise in two years – stand and terrace admission were €40 and €30 respectively.

A sub-committee of the steering group for integration has proposed an additional €5 or €10 be put on All-Ireland and provincial tickets to offset the funding required for a new players' charter. It is estimated the levy would raise €5m.
