Exciting news for west Cork design lovers - Little Green Dot Craft Studio have moved to Clonakilty. They’re well worth a visit, browsing around their quirky and unique offerings, all Irish-made, you’ll find handmade toys and crafted gifts. These unusual ceramics caught my eye, they’re part of the In Flux ceramics graduate exhibition at The National Design & Craft Gallery. The exhibition is showcasing the innovation and diversity in ceramic design by some of Ireland’s newest makers. These are by Northern Irish artist, Natasha Swan. She has a particular interest in combining markmaking and simple wheel thrown forms, and says her inspiration comes from various sources, including graphic artists, painters and other ceramics makers. In Flux runs at the National Design & Craft Gallery, Castle Yard, Kilkenny until August 6.

Being the mother of three boys, I can’t help but admire this Mother & Daughter print by Alison B Illustrations. Is this what having a girl would have been like? Matching outfits and no roaring?
