* Blarney & District Garden & Flower Club present, “Spring is in the air”, a teaching demo with Mary O’Keeffe on Thursday March 27 at Whitechurch Hall. Club Competitions will also take place — all welcome.

* Marie Dodrill, Portmarnock Club will demonstrate for Cork Flower Club on Tuesday April 22 in Canon Packham Hall at 8pm Everyone very welcome.

* Mitchelstown Flower & Garden Club are hosting a bumper night of gardening with Michael Caplice Of Pine Nurseries, Burncourt, on Thursday April 24 in The Town Hall at 8.00pm. Everyone welcome, refreshments will be served

* The Lough Flower and Garden Club presents a demonstration on wedding flowers by Malcolm Kitt at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 22 in the SMA Parish Centre Wilton at 8pm. Visitors very welcome €5

* The next meeting of the Owenabue Garden and Flower club, Carrigaline, will be held in St Mary’s Church of Ireland School Hall (Entrance — beside the main gates to Community School) on Monday April 28 at 8 pm. The speaker will be Frances McDonald of The Bay Garden, Enniscorthy, on “Colour in the Garden throughout the Year”. Frances is an experienced garden-tour guide at home and abroad. Visitors welcome. * On Thursday April 24 next, Neil Porteous, Head Gardener at Mt Stewart, Co Down will discuss: “Across The World To Ireland” for the Cork Alpine Plants Society. Members plant sale; all welcome.

* The next meeting of Castlelyons Home and Garden Club will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 8.00 pm in Castlelyons Community Centre. Eileen Palmer of Toss Bryan’s Garden Centre will give a talk on obtaining maximum colour for summer bedding plants, pots, baskets etc. All welcome.
