Delightful lake views, but different prices
The smaller property carries a price tag of €200,000, while the larger house has a guide price of €395,000.
House one is a simple, attractive dormer with just under a half acre of grounds and it comes with three bedrooms and some very nice finishing touches.
With an open plan layout, the ground floor has cathedral ceilings and a kitchen fitted in shaker maple units, and while most of the kitchen/dining area is in red deal, the living side of this 22’ by 20’ space is carpeted: it also feature as large stone fireplace.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor and a spiral staircase leads to an open plan study area on the first floor, with an ensuite master bedroom taking up the rest of the dormer space.
All rooms come with wooden floors and pine joinery and the house has oil heating. The grounds are lovely and include a garden shed/boiler house and the property could be a holiday home or full time residence, says Michael Coghlan.
The second house, meanwhile, offers four ensuite bedrooms and a large site in excess of an acre as well as sunroom and two reception rooms.
All of the four bedrooms are fully ensuite, making it handy for summer B&B use, and it also has a main bathroom and guest bathroom.
Every room is wired for TV and phone and all joinery is in red deal with solid wooden floors used throughout the house.
Newly-built, and like the preceding property, this house is not far from Killorglin town, and due to the stringent planning policies for the area, housing sites around Caragh lake are scarce, says Mr Coughlan and consequently, houses here will have an increasing demand, he says.
With a stone and render façade, PVC wood grain windows and fascia and soffitt, the house is low maintenance and comes with an open-plan layout between the sunroom, dining room and kitchen.
The main living room is quite large at 16’ by 25, and the bedrooms are also very big, says Mr Coughlan.
The grounds have just been completed and come fully landscaped.
