Language priorities

I WISH to respond to John Alan O'Donovan's letter headlined 'Language Priorities' (Irish Examiner, April 11).

Language priorities

It seems to me his language priorities are lost when he bemoans the €350,000 costs to translate official documents into Irish - a mere pittance.

Mr O'Donovan also believes that official documents should in Polish. Maybe he could start by conducting a plebiscite on the name of his own town, Bandon.

I propose that Mr O'Donovan take a show of hands in Bandon - soon to be Betchatów - and see if the townsfolk are of his frame of mind.

Ní thagann ciall roimh aois.
