Trade union leaders help to turn Ireland into a goldmine for the bosses

I WOULD like to congratulate ICTU and SIPTU for keeping workers’ pay increases in line with the cost of living over the past 10 years.

During that period the Irish economy has grown beyond our wildest dreams, company profits, shareholder dividends and executive salaries have never been so high.

I hope ICTU keep up the good work over the next agreement, making sure workers’ pay doesn’t rise above 2% to 3% per annum. The Government should reward ICTU and SIPTU leaders for their efforts in making Ireland one of the richest countries in the world.
