We will never forget our good Samaritan
He contacted the emergency services (although I had rang an ambulance earlier I did not know my exact location) and gave precise directions to the dispatcher. He contacted my company, took charge of my car and enlisted the aid of another passer-by to drive it to his house for safe keeping.
He then phoned and visited me in hospital, brought me sundries, and treated with such kindness, words fail me. When I was released from hospital he took valuable time off from work to meet me (he lived and worked nearly an hour from the hospital) to return my car and was genuinely embarrassed when I thanked him, stating anyone would have done the same.
His generosity both in time and effort was staggering and the epitome of Christian charity. I ask that you print this letter in sincere gratitude to Kieran Melin of Kildare.
Words are too clumsy to express my warm and heartfelt thanks for all that he did. Such assistance deserves highlighting in a world which demands reward for any act engaged upon.
I would also like to thank the staff (in particular, Ann) of Naas General Hospital and to the staff of the Moate Coronary Care Ward, with special mention for Emma.
