The price of Ireland: it’s a ‘no-brainer’
I recently returned to the US from one of my regular visits to Ireland. It was my first time back since the introduction of the euro and I was astounded at prices in Ireland. There was some ‘rounding’ following the currency changeover, but I hadn’t expected prices to be ‘rounded’ up by 50%-75%.
Consumers (foreign holiday makers, in this case) will not pay high prices for goods or services available elsewhere at lower prices.
