Two promises that voters won’t forget

IT IS a disgrace that funding has been blocked for the construction of the Cork School of Music and the Cork Airport terminal.

These projects are critical for the success of the Cork World City of Culture 2005 and have been planned for some considerable time.

They have also been the subjects of political promise, and those promises must now be honoured. If the problem is a shortage of capital, that can easily be resolved by the sale of some of the 28 locations now occupied by the Defence Forces.
