YOU report (Irish Examiner, June 9) that the National Safety Council (NSC) is calling for more education on road safety in schools.

It is insulting to parents to assume that they not do enough to prevent their children being killed on the roads.

In my view, a lot of motorists need educating, if not coercing, in road safety. Additionally, roads need to be engineered to be less dangerous.
