I’VE been a resident of the Lee Road near Wellington Bridge in Cork, for 30 years.

Commuters hijack our car spaces

Up to two months ago, I was able to drive away from my parking spot outside my home and be reasonably certain of returning to park at least adjacent to, or across the road from, my home beside the river.

But now I can no longer drive away any morning, Monday through Friday, and be certain of not having to drive out the Lee Road to park on my return an intolerable imposition when one has heavy shopping to carry home or when it's raining heavily.
