I WISH to respond to Terry Prone’s column headlined ‘McCartney sisters fail to capture imagination of American media’ (Irish Examiner, March 20).

In between her cute little quips about erectile dysfunction and green top hats, she seems to have overlooked the primary reason why the McCartney sisters' campaign has not made a greater impact on headlines in the US.

The story failed to make major headlines here because, among other reasons, Americans, Irish or otherwise, are not as stupid as she thinks.
