Draconian pub laws are not the answer

I FIND it ridiculous that Justice Minister Michael McDowell finds it necessary to impose licensing laws on the general population which can only have a negative effect.

If you treat people like children, then they will behave as such.

The solution is to give publicans a licence which will allow them to open any 12 hours in 24. They may split the time if they so choose.
