What gives columnist the right to interfere in North’s GAA affairs?

I REFER to the ill-mannered interference in the internal affairs of the GAA by your columnist Ryle Dwyer (Irish Examiner, April 16).

What gives columnist the right to interfere in North’s GAA affairs?

In his rant against GAA members in Northern Ireland, he included the following: "It is only by reciprocal respect that the barriers are going to be broken down in the North, and it is for the GAA as a whole to impress on their Northern brethren the need for mutual respect."

Does Mr Dwyer really believe that Ulster Catholics, whether members of the GAA or otherwise, will listen to sermons on how to behave in our own province from those who abandoned us in 1921 and who stood idly by in August 1969?
