Where to tell a lie

IN the Earwicker column (Irish Examiner, June 11), it was reported that Brian Lenihan once told the late Seán Doherty that the only place where one should ever lie was in Dáil Eireann.

But what about interviews with postgraduate students over phone calls to the President in 1981?
