Mrs Egan’s donkey
In your Farm Exam edition dated 20th May 2004, on page 8 you did a feature on an adjoining holding of 330 acres. In your feature you suggested that the holding was for sale together with “a resident donkey”.
This donkey in fact belongs to our client Mrs Egan who is quite upset at the suggestion in your article that the donkey is for sale.
Our client has received a number of telephone calls from locals who would know that the donkey belongs to Mrs Egan enquiring as to why she would consider selling the donkey. This has caused our client further upset.
Can you please print an appropriate correction to put your readers on notice of the fact that Mrs Egan’s donkey is not included in the sale of the holding at Sneem as advertised in your aforementioned article.
