Funds leak at pool

COULD somebody (preferably Cork City Council and city manager Joe Gavin) please explain the justification for erecting more than 20 bollards in the car park of Douglas swimming pool and advise how much it cost.

Surely it would have been better to have used the money for the benefit of swimmers, especially the children from clubs and schools in the vicinity.

As a parent with two children, and a member of Sundays Well Swimming Club, I believe the money could have helped instead to fix the leaking roof.
