Tell the real story

AS one of the few English-speaking media outlets not operating in a country involved in the invasion of Iraq, the Irish Examiner should consider John Pilger’s recent assessment of the media’s culpability in ‘normalising the unthinkable’.

Tell the real story

The Irish Examiner has failed in its duty in reporting Iraq, especially the attack on Fallujah, by allowing itself to be used as an agent of the attackers in desensitising the population to the genocide that is under way.

If Musab al-Zarqawi exists, he most certainly is not present in Fallujah. He is responsible for at most six of the 2,700 attacks on the invading forces every month - how does this justify the obliteration of an entire city the size of Cork and the mass murder of its inhabitants?
