VANDALISM, petty crime and burglaries are all too common. No city, town or village escapes. It seems to be the in-thing now to break, destroy and desecrate everything that comes in the way of the vandal. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Let’s try psychology in battle against vandalism

People attribute vandalism to disadvantaged areas. I have worked in disadvantaged areas where I found the inhabitants law-abiding, civilised and prepared to care for their neighbours.

Disadvantaged areas have nothing to do with vandalism and they shouldn't be linked with the thuggery and criminal acts that our community suffers all too frequently.
