Friendly town has visitors in the bag

I RECENTLY enjoyed a one-week holiday in Youghal. Having purchased an item in one of the local clothes shops, I inadvertently left the bag behind me in the town’s main car park.

I returned to the car park next day, but the bag was gone, so I gave up on it.

It was then suggested to me that, “in view of the friendly nature of the townspeople,” somebody might have picked up the bag and returned it to the shop (the shop name was on the bag).
