A full life in a day

DISTINGUISHED Cork man, playwright and director, the late Dr Lennox Robinson, travelling home one night spotted a butterfly at the window of the tram.

He stood up and made his way to where the butterfly was, opened the window and the tiny creature escaped.

On his way back to his seat, he said: "I believe the poor creatures have only one day to live and I'd hate to think of it spending its life on the top of a Dalkey tram."
