Irish is a waste of time as a school subject
Yet it is a compulsory school subject. After working at it through primary and secondary school, it will have been pointless. It has no benefits for me. Any other subject would be of more use.
Parents pour money into sending children to grinds and summer courses. For what? To give them the thrill that they are living our heritage? Why force us to learn a subject that is dying?
Fine if you really want to live as a true Gael, keep it; but why should I be forced to waste my time and effort on something that will soon be dead?
