Who’s to blame for traffic nightmare?

COULD you please tell me who was responsible in the local authority planning department for the traffic system debacle around Mahon Point in Cork?

Driving in the vicinity of Mahon and the Skehard Road in the mornings and evenings is a nightmare. The former two-minute drive from Skehard Road to the South Link is now a crawl taking form 20 to 30 minutes in the evenings.

At weekends, residents of Jacobs Island, Mahon and Blackrock can expect a half-hour wait to enter the link road towards the tunnel, as traffic is queuing on the overpass to Mahon Point shopping centre.
