Joyce Fegan: Even girl bosses Reese Witherspoon and Mel Robbins can't convince women we need AI

Cui bono — who benefits — from all of us blindly adopting another Silicon Valley tool we never even asked for?

It's unlikely that the creators of AI are worried about women. Worried meaning, they hold any genuine fear, that the sex performing the bulk of the world's care work, is "left behind", as everyone else on the planet obediently embraces this new technology.

It's far more likely that the creators of AI are deeply worried about things like user numbers, share prices, competitors' identical tools, and, after years of development, finally reimbursing their investors.
