Mick Clifford: Daly and Wallace crashed out due to their weird idea of ‘peace-building’

Clare Daly and Mick Wallace were advocates for the fourth estate when holding the US to account — but appeared to have no problem being used as propaganda tools by state media in totalitarian regimes

On the day before the European elections last week, sitting MEP Clare Daly tweeted out a plea for votes: “As MEP for Dublin, I’ve done what I said I’d do. I’ve worked to carry the voices of the people of Ireland to the EU.”

On that and preceding days, a number of celebrities and quasi-left-wing figures took to social media to endorse her candidacy.
