Collins and Dev would have stood up to EU

The Government is going into overdrive to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising. But one is tempted to ask what have we to celebrate?

Both the previous and present governments sold out the sovereignty of our country to the European bankers.

One should read again the 1916 proclamation, ‘sovereignty’ is mentioned no less than three times.

I would suggest the governments have betrayed the wishes of those young patriots who gave their lives for Irish freedom.

I have no doubt Michael Collins, or even De Valera, would have stood up to the bureaucrats of Brussels.
