We have an illness, not a health service in Ireland

Many of the headlines recently refer to the failings of our health service.

We have an illness, not a health service in Ireland

There is a simple reason. We have not had a health service for several decades now. Our appalling governmental system has developed an illness service that is basically in the pay of Big Pharma. The very highly paid doctors are, in my own experience not the slightest bit interested in our health.

Illness vultures would be a better expression because, without the Irish people’s massive and increasing amount of illness, they would all be unemployed. The attitude of the HSE in slowly destroying the rural health services is just one aspect of their blunderings that proves the point.
