Ireland’s independence tainted by greed

Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa must be turning in his grave at what has become of his beloved country since ‘independence’.

Ireland’s independence tainted by greed

Greed plays a major role in our society. Elitist elements are indulged, while the most vulnerable in our society (elderly, young, sick) suffer.

Nepotism and cronyism play a major role in every day life.

The people have been bullied by bankers (Irish and European).

Politicians have not always acted in the public interest. Many would say they have allowed themselves to be bullied by their European counterparts.

Nobody in authority takes responsibility or has been held accountable for their actions.

Despite what some politicians say, I suggest Ireland of today is a very sad place for law-biding citizens, elderly, young or sick.
