Adopted children need answers to fundamental personal questions

As members of the Government prepare to relax for their annual summer break, for the vast majority of adopted children in Ireland, the luxury of relaxation will never be afforded to them until they know the truth of their existence.

For many, many years, adopted children, myself included, have been searching and longing to discover basic and fundamental truths, that for the majority of our population, is something most people take for granted.

There are multiple questions: What is my real family name? What is my medical history? Do I have brothers and sisters?
