Kenny wrong to say we don’t support Greeks

Referring to the Greek crisis, Angela Merkel said that the euro was more than a common currency, but an expression of European integration, “based on common trust and common principles”.

Kenny wrong to say we don’t support Greeks

Are these the principles that were applied to Ireland, when the ECB was told by Germany and France to foist private debt on the public, creating even more Irish debt to save the banks?

We need to think about the meaning of the words ‘unsustainable debt’. It means sustained, absolute and total control by the European Central Bank, their political masters and others. It means loss of democracy, sovereignty and independence for generation after generation and beyond. Ireland’s capitulation is being heralded as a success story and the Greek people are being urged to do it our way or they will not have the support of this country.

Unfortunately, our would-be statesman/Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, and his master juggler, our Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, have for too long been entranced by the powerbrokers at the top table and have suggested that the people of Ireland, like them, do not support the people of Greece in their hour of need.

Shameful.
