Outdated jury system should be abolished
What is the logic of asking people with little knowledge or experience of the law to make serious decisions in serious cases in courts of law while the experts in the legal system evade making the hard decisions?
If you were to undergo a serious medical procedure you wouldn’t pick a dozen people at random and let them at it while the doctors and specialists just looked on.
We have judges “directing” juries, in other words giving them a legal grind in what they can and cannot do, while highly trained experienced experts who don’t need “direction” stand idly by.
It’s a form of madness we should abolish forthwith. In the modern world of complex legal systems, it is totally outdated.
