Cork also introducing Green Dog Walking

Similar to Waterford County Council, Cork County Council is also introducing Green Dog Walking [GDW].

Cork also introducing Green Dog Walking

Under the guidance of Dr Mary Stack, Green Dog Walking is to be launched in Castlelyons on May 31, at Gone Barking Mad, a family fun dog day. GDW was the brainchild of Falkirk Council, in Scotland, and is a non-confrontational, friendly way of changing attitudes to dog fouling. Pledgers wear a GDW armband (or the dog wears a GDW collar) to show they have taken the pledge to clean up after their dog, to carry waste bags, to lend bags to others and to be a reminder to dog walkers to clean up.
