France must be careful in its response to killings

Prominent cartoonists have been murdered by French citizens of Algerian descent. Nobel prize winner, Albert Camus, was a French person of Algerian origin, and he was against Algerian independence. But French soldiers in Somalia killing Muslims, support for Israel and the banning of pro-Palestinians marches have all left France in a dangerous place. Freedom of expression is paramount in a country that is secular and does not have blasphemy laws. However, if France rounds up Muslims, I will feel the unsettling cries of Camus from beyond the grave.
