Beware the bedroom police are afoot

Ireland does not need a bedroom police from Lauren Hersh (Irish Examiner, October 15), an ex-US attorney who resigned under a cloud and [is] a supporter of controversial views.

Beware the bedroom police are afoot

She uses half truths to conflate trafficking and sex work and to imply that all sex workers are helpless victims. The majority of clients are not monsters.

Criminalising clients in Sweden and Norway has created a culture of stigma and lacking in openness. Should we “end demand” for clothing, agriculture and alcohol because of improper behaviour in those industries?
