Seeking relatives of 1916 Rising participants

Members of the public with family links to the 1916 Rising are invited to join the 1916 Relatives Association and attend the special general meeting.

The 1916 Relatives Association was set up so those who had family members who participated in the 1916 Rising would be informed about events planned for 2016 and, as much as is appropriate, be part of the preparations for and commemorations of the centenary. We are an unfunded voluntary group with no affiliations to any political party.

The special general meeting will take place this Sunday, October 12, at the Alexander Hotel on Fenian Street, Dublin 2. The SGM will commence with registration at 2pm and will continue until 5pm. Amongst the topics for discussion are 1916 commemoration plans. The 1916 Relatives Association is anxious to make contact with families across Ireland who have direct links to the 1916 Rising.
