Mayor parade boycott to be commended

For the record, I have both French and Irish ancestry, and grew up Catholic during the days of “Dominus vobiscum”.

The present mayor of New York City is to be commended for his boycott of this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in protest of their anti-gay bigotry.

Beliefs have consequences and on this side of the Atlantic, people in general will no longer tolerate the violence, bloodshed and murders enabled by continuing misguided and discriminatory attitudes.
