Hypocrisy re Ukraine

“You just don’t, in the 21st century, behave in the 19th century fashion by invading another country on a completely trumped-up context,” US Secretary of State John Kerry stated on Sunday in response to what is happening in Ukraine/Crimea.

Really, Mr Kerry — remember weapons of mass destruction?

Tell that to the widows and orphans of Iraq. Is this astonishing short-term memory deficit caused by altitude sickness, as he attempts to occupy the high moral ground to lecture Vladimir Putin?

One prays the condition is temporary, as Mr Kerry is only a couple of heartbeats away from having his finger on the nuclear button. And we jail Margaretta D’Arcy. God help us all.
