Rights will be removed

If next Friday’s referendum is carried, article 27 of the Constitution, and a right of the people, will be removed.

Rights will be removed

A portion of the Dáil and Seanad can petition the President for a referendum on a new bill, before it is made law. This is a significant power. The Seanad referendum proposal, if passed, will take this away from the people. The people are badly informed and should not be tricked into reducing what little political power they have. Voting ‘no’ postpones change to our Constitution until the electorate is informed.
