The joke’s on us

Our country is in a huge mess. It’s sad and depressed.

But these Anglo Irish bankers and what they tricked the country and people of Ireland into (which we will have to pay this off for years and years) is like something from a movie. But in movies the baddie is always caught in the end.

So they better watch their backs for a long time.

They have been having a laugh at Irish tax payers’ expense. Think of all the businesses that went bust, jobs lost, healthcare cuts, things that took years to build up — all lost because of Anglo having to be bailed out. Worse still, what about the people who took their own lives because of all the reckless lending and the crash? Why should we have to pay for this anymore? Property tax, water tax, carbon tax or whatever — it’s all gone into Anglo.
