Help the poor everywhere

Robert Sullivan (Letters, June 6) says the health cuts in Cork are “just too sad”.

The lot of people who live in Bangladesh is much worse than that of anyone in Ireland. Ireland’s generous aid programme has systems to ensure it helps the people who need it.

If Mr Sullivan wants to see a “shambles of a medical organisation,” he should go to Bangladesh.
