Other than to say those with new evidence should offer it to the proper authorities, Mr Kenny did not address the issues.
It is natural that Mr Kenny would not wish to be embroiled in a row involving allegations of corruption and some of the country’s most powerful individuals. However, he has no choice as that’s what he was elected to do. It’s time Mr Kenny put flesh on Fine Gael promises to weed out cronyism and corruption and break the pantomime cycle of name calling that passes for political debate. Or is this as good as it gets?
