Another FG mess?

In recent days, we have been subjected to the extraordinary spectacle of Fine Gael TD Lucinda Creighton being threatened with censure by her own party hierarchy — for trying to do what the party promised during its 2011 election campaign.

Though political parties are well-known for doing U-turns on their election manifesto, I’ve never before heard of one that openly threatens to censure its own members for trying to fulfil their election promises.
