Banker’s term shows arrogance
The derogatory term being used to so describe people who did what was expected of them in a civilised society, is shocking in its arrogance. For a most disgraced and corrupt institution as the banks to speak of Irish people in this way ought to be made an offence in law.
This nation of workers, the decent people of Ireland, had money thrown at them by the banks, and for people the dream of an unexpected chance of betterment for their families, was/is a natural temptation when respectable, well suited and mannerly frontmen at the banks were dribbling honesty with every utterance.
