OPW does not fund road repairs

I refer to the article “Funding diverted to road repairs” (Jul 17).

There is a statement in the article by, it appears, someone from the NRA, about OPW funding damaged roads in Cork/Clonakilty caused by the recent floods and about OPW being slow to make decisions.

I wish to clarify that OPW does not fund road repairs.
