Right decision to cancel

Pat Rabbitte was correct to ask Fine Gael to cancel their press event highlighting their achievements in office on Thursday.

The Fine Gael ministers, particularly Kenny, Noonan, Coveney, and Varadkar, all have great achievements under their belt. In contrast, the Labour team, particularly Gilmore and Burton, have been all over the place. One Labour minister (Willie Penrose) even jumped overboard.

The contrast the event would have shown up between the performance of the two Government parties would have been very embarrassing for Labour.
