Subversive organisation

IT would be churlish to deny that the IRFU marshals a fine collection of sportsmen.

But they do not present as a national team and consequently have no legitimate claim to national support.

“The national flag is the tricolour of green, white and orange.” says the Constitution of Ireland, enacted by her free citizens.

The IRFU team, when abroad, does not acknowledge it, and the organisation has commissioned an embarrassing ditty to usurp the National Anthem.

I’d argue that the IRFU is a subversive organisation, which brings a splendid sport into disrepute.
