Priests must speak up about society’s ills

WITH regards to the Catholic Church today I have noticed for a while now going to Mass that the priests never seem to speak out about all the ills in society today.

Priests must speak up about society’s ills

I am old enough to remember a time when they did speak out and were respected for it. I think I speak for the “silent majority”, but these had better speak up and be counted, or we might be taken over by the very “loud majority”.

If priests worry that they would not be supported I don’t accept that either. More people would go to Mass, I think, if they gave more guidance, especially to the young. This silence is deafening.
