We can’t afford pomp and grandeur of Presidency

ISN’T it farcical observing all these presidential candidates making their sales pitches to us voters?

Why not state the obvious that a huge salary plus seven-year job security is the magnetic attraction?

I’m tired of listening to sanctimonious, patriotic platitudes of serving the people.

We already have a Foreign Affairs Minister doing this job.

Why do we need another?

In these financially restrictive times, surely the Government should take the lead and close down this department?

We can’t afford pomp, and grandeur. Garden fetes can be opened by local dignitaries at a fraction of the cost.

These chosen elite already have big pensions in the bag. Greed is the driving force behind motivations.

I personally will not vote for any of these greedy merchants parading as “the people’s champion” And I believe I am not alone in that assumption.
